.... hurt."
That is good old Johnny Cash. I was walking out of the house this morning and I heard Elder Allgair singing it under his breath, which made it get in my head.
So we went to the temple today. It was GREAT. I love the temple. It is the best. I love the Spirit that rests there. It is a place that just testifies that families can be together forever. It really is Heaven on Earth. We are so blessed in AZ to live so close to a temple and we are receiving another one. What blessings!
So it was awesome to talk to you you all on Mother´s day. It was so great! I am glad Nanie was there as well. It was good to hear her voice and Landon showing up was a great surprise. It sounds like everyone is doing good in ol´ G-town.
This in São José Dos Pinhais (mom, I told you I would write it) are good. The couple we were gonna marry this week has to wait because of document issues and stupid Brazilian laws that exist that make it complicated to get married and keep the commandments. But that´s water under the bridge. We are hoping for 2 baptisms in our area by the end of this week. 2 brothers, Jorge and Mouricio. They are awesome boys that love us and the church. We are going to baptize them and then help their entire family get baptized. They all want to get baptized, but a lot of them have a problem with not being married. So we are working with that as well.
We are working super hard at finding NTM which is just a fancy missionary way of say Families where not everyone is a member but our efforts are proving to be a lot more difficult then we were hoping. We are working super hard to get our goal of having 25 people in our zone come unto Christ through baptism. We are hoping and praying for 10 baptisms this week. We are praying a lot.
The assistants called us last night. Tomorrow we have Zone Conference. They asked us to give a training on Weekly Planning from Preach My Gospel. Which will be pretty awesome. Except we are having a problem finding the time to plan it. We planned a little on the way to the temple today. Oh well, the Lord will help us out. Everything else here is great.
I had a neat experience Monday morning. In our zone we have this one area, the Elders didn´t receive their allowance (the money). They used the last of their reserve last Friday. We ended up hearing about it. So Elder Elias and I woke up early Monday morning and caught the bus to their area and went to the supermarket and bought them a weeks supply of groceries. We walked up to their house. It was one of the most rewarding feelings. They almost started crying. We walked in the house. They only had a fresh avacado (which was not ready to eat) and flour (which they were mixing with water and frying it so they could eat it) we gave them a little extra money for the bus and we had a breakfast with them and then went to our meeting. It was a wonderful experience to see that the Lord could use me to answer someone´s prayers. That happens A LOT on the mission.
I love you all so much. I was so grateful to talk to you all on Mother´s Day. I know that the church is true and that the Book of Mormon is true. Joseph Smith was a prophet and Jesus Christ is our Savior. He loves us!
Com amor!
