"Cried For No One, A Love That Should Have Lasted Years"
-The Beatles.
Dear Family!
Oh man! I love you all so much! And I miss you so much! I hope you all are having a wonderful time getting prepared for Christmas! I know I am! I bought some "Tocas de Papai Noel" So you will be seeing a lot of pictures in the future with these Santa Hats. The first few are with the Santa Hats. That´s Elder Peterson on the far left, Elder L. Silva on the left, Elder Paiva (My companion) on the right and me on the far right. I hope you don´t mind all the photos! I know it´s been a while since I have sent some. I still have a few more ideas I want to do and send you some photos. I haven´t mailed your Christmas package and there is a chance that I will actually send it after Christmas. I don´t have a post office in my area. So I am gonna have to think about how to send it. But it is almost ready!
This week has been a good one. We visited this nonmember lady, she has a son on a mission and she gave us a reference and we visited the reference. It was awesome. The lady said "You know I never wanted anything to do with religion, but I saw you two and I felt like I had to talk to you and I had to go to church because it would be the best thing ever." She really has been prepared by the Lord and her mother too! It is pretty neat. They came to church this past Sunday, but because the ward was closed, they didn´t have a class for recent converts/visiters so we walked in the room and I found out that I was going to teach the lesson. Someone suggested that we talk about the plan of salvation. So we taught the second lesson right there. It was really neat. I love the Plan of Salvation. It was a pretty good lesson. The Spirit helped A LOT! The mother after the lesson said it was a really really good lesson.
They want us to eat lunch with them one day. They said that we were really dear to them. I am amazed with how the Lord has helped prepare people. This week we have been working really hard. We passed by this inactive member´s house. She and her family have such strong spirits. I really enjoy visiting with them.
Well, sorry this email is kind of short. I love you all so much! We are having lunch at an investigator´s house with the other missionaries that live with us. I hope everything is going wonderful in good old AZ! I love you all so soso ososososos much!
Com Amor!
-Elder Askins
